Also known as memil-cha or soba-cha, this buckwheat tea is Himalayan Black Buckwheat, the highest elevation grown buckwheat in the world; about 2700-3200 meters! Himalayan buckwheat tea is caffeine free, making it a great night time brew. The buckwheat has been roasted, which you can sense in the aroma and flavor. A very smooth, roasted and nutty flavor that is different at first (if you’ve never tried it) but very enjoyable and may be a new favorite! As an added bonus, you can eat the buckwheat after brewing, try adding it to cereal or any grain dish.
