The Margaret’s Hope tea garden in Darjeeling is named for the founder’s daughter, who is said to have fell in love with the garden when she was a girl. On one of the long voyages back to the estate from a visit to England, tragedy struck and poor Margaret fell ill and died. The grief-stricken father named his estate in Margaret’s honor and it has been producing world renowned tea ever since; flowery with a hint of spiciness.
